1) Head of Medicinal Plants Research Group: Prof. Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Ebru Özdemir Nath
Plant identification, ethnobotanical research, honey plants research studies, pollen analysis, plant morphology and anatomy, preparation of plant extracts to be used in different activity studies, active ingredient analysis, essential oil extraction and essential oil analysis of aromatic plants are carried out in order to recognize and medicinally evaluate the natural richness of Türkiye. Researchers are informed about the importance of plant species identification, especially in studies on the activities of medicinal plants. Altınbaş University Faculty of Pharmacy Herbarium (HERA) was established to shed light on our research, which we set out with the idea that “The first step of any biological and pharmacological research begins with identifying the right plant species.” Plant identification is carried out here.
In addition, this research group organizes trainings, seminars and conferences on medicinal and aromatic plants and informs both students and the public on this subject.

Within the scope of DÜAGEM's field of study, biological, pharmacological and toxicological effect tests related to raw materials and products produced/used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, agriculture and food industries from natural products are carried out in vitro and in vivo conditions. Studies are carried out with the support of universities, public institutions and industry stakeholders.

Within the scope of DÜAGEM's field of study, biological, pharmacological and toxicological effect tests of materials used from natural products related to oral and dental health are carried out in vitro and in vivo conditions and research is developed with the support of collaborating universities, public and industry stakeholders. Regarding the new/unique products/raw materials that DÜAGEM plans to develop related to oral and dental health, studies are planned to produce prototype products and to issue their patents and to use these patents in the industry.
