Dear Students,
The pharmacy sector, an integral part of healthcare services, plays a critical role in safeguarding and improving public health. Pharmacy Services Technicians, who are responsible for the correct preparation, storage and dispensing of medicines, as well as the effective management of record-keeping processes, have become one of the key professional groups within today’s healthcare system. In line with this, the Pharmacy Services Programme aims to train qualified healthcare technicians capable of working in pharmacies and various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry. Students who successfully complete our programme will be awarded an associate degree and the title of ‘Pharmacy Services Technician’, and will have extensive employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
Thanks to our university’s strong academic staff and practice-oriented approach to education, our students will develop their professional knowledge and skills by receiving theoretical and practical training in areas such as pharmacology, pharmaceutical knowledge, prescription assessment, pharmacy automation systems, patient communication and healthcare legislation. Our programme aims not only to equip students with technical competence but also to ensure they develop into qualified healthcare professionals who act in accordance with professional ethics, patient rights, a commitment to quality and a sense of responsibility, whilst placing human health at the centre of their practice. In this way, our graduates will be well-prepared to enter the workforce as well-equipped and competent individuals who meet the needs of the healthcare sector.
As the Pharmacy Services Programme at the School of Health Services, we are fully aware that equipping future healthcare professionals with knowledge, skills and ethical values is of great importance for societal development.
