Erasmus+ and Exchange Programmes

Erasmus+ and Exchange Programs

Erasmus+ is a European Union program designed to promote student and academic staff mobility and strengthen cross-border cooperation among universities in Europe. Within the scope of the program, grants may be provided for student exchange and internship activities.

Students studying in the 28 European Union member states, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, and Türkiye, are eligible to apply for Erasmus+ grants. In order for students to study abroad under the Erasmus program, an inter-institutional agreement must exist between our university (sending institution) and the host university.

One of the main advantages of the Erasmus program is the opportunity to receive an Erasmus grant to help cover expenses such as accommodation, travel, and other related costs. Grant amounts vary depending on the country group of the destination.

The aim of Erasmus+ and Exchange Programs is to strengthen cooperation with universities in Europe and beyond, support the internationalization of higher education, and contribute to the academic, professional, and cultural development of students and staff. Mobility activities carried out within the framework of the program enable participants to experience different education systems, gain international experience, and foster academic collaboration between universities.
