Faculty of Health Sciences Midwifery and Nursing Department Uniform Ceremony
A uniform ceremony was held at the Bakırköy Campus for students of the Midwifery and Nursing Department at Altınbaş University Faculty of Health Sciences.

The Uniform Donning Ceremony, organized by the Altınbaş University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Midwifery and Nursing, was held on February 4, 2026, at the Bakırköy Campus Conference Hall. This meaningful ceremony, marking a significant turning point in our students' professional journeys, witnessed moments filled with pride with the participation of our academic staff and students.
The uniform is not merely an outfit; it represents the first step our students take into their professional lives as a symbol of professional responsibility, ethical values, professionalism, and respect for human dignity. During the ceremony, our students symbolically accepted their commitment to the profession and their responsibilities by donning their uniforms with the consciousness of becoming the nurses and midwives of the future.
The opening speeches of the ceremony were delivered by Acting Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Ahmet Özbek, Head of the Midwifery Department Prof. Dr. Saadet Yazıcı, and Head of the Nursing Department Prof. Dr. Ülkü Baykal. They conveyed important messages to our students regarding professional values, ethical responsibility, and professional development.
Prof. Dr. Sibel Erkal İlhan, who attended the event as a guest speaker, offered an inspiring perspective to our students with her speech titled "Midwifery and Nursing: From Past to Present," sharing valuable insights regarding the historical development of the profession and its role today.
The program included the presentation of midwifery and nursing students on stage, and the event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony. The ceremony served as a meaningful gathering that supported our students' professional identity development, strengthened their sense of belonging, and brought our academic community together.
As Altınbaş University, while raising the health professionals of the future, we continue to prioritize equipping them not only with scientific knowledge but also with ethical values, a human-centered approach, and professional awareness.
We would like to thank all our academic and administrative staff who contributed to this meaningful organization and wish our students success in their professional lives.
