Altınbaş University Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital is on the list of “The World's Best Hospitals 2026”!

Turkey had 35 healthcare institutions featured in the “World's Best Hospitals 2026” list published by the international publication Newsweek and the German statistics firm Statista.

According to data released by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), university hospitals ranked high on the list of 2,530 hospitals from 32 countries. Altınbaş University Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital also made the list, achieving significant success.

Numerous indicators were taken into account

The performance of 2,530 healthcare institutions was analyzed to determine the hospitals. The evaluation process was based on four key data sources. First, hospital quality criteria compiled from public sources in different countries were examined, and indicators such as treatment quality, hygiene standards, and the number of patients per doctor or nurse were taken into account. The results of a survey conducted by Newsweek and Statista, involving tens of thousands of healthcare professionals from 32 countries, were evaluated. Participants were asked to recommend hospitals in their own countries and in other countries, excluding the institutions where they worked. Patient experience, post-discharge patient satisfaction surveys with publicly available results were included in the scoring model. Criteria such as overall satisfaction, willingness to recommend the hospital, and satisfaction with medical care were analyzed. Finally, in the fall and winter of 2025, hospitals were contacted and surveyed regarding their PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) practices, and the data obtained was evaluated.
