Geopolitical and legal dimensions of Kashmir discussed at Altınbaş University
"Kashmir: Uniting Perspectives on Geopolitics, International Law, and Diplomacy” was held.
Bringing together prominent figures in the field of International Relations, “Kashmir: Uniting Perspectives on Geopolitics, International Law, and Diplomacy” was held at Altınbaş University Gayrettepe Campus with a wide participation. The event started with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Tolga Demiryol, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences.
The talk was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Kaynak, Head of the Department of International Relations, with the valuable participation of Pakistan's Deputy Ambassador to Türkiye Mr. Shaiq Bhutto, Consul General of Pakistan in Istanbul Mr. Uzair Mahmood Ghumman and Human Rights Lawyer Nasir Qadri.
After the opening speeches, Pakistan's Deputy Ambassador to Türkiye Mr. Shaiq Bhutto delivered his speech. Afterwards, moderator Assoc. Prof. Bahadır Kaynak invited Human Rights Lawyer Nasir Qadri to the stage. Mr. Qadri discussed the Kashmir issue, which has been going on since 1947, in terms of international law and geopolitical implications and provided important information to the audience with a comprehensive speech.
The conference, which was attended by Altınbaş University academic and administrative staff and students, drew attention to the international public opinion on the Kashmir issue and its humanitarian effects. A call was made for an end to the unresolved problem that has persisted since the beginning of the Cold War.
At the end of the lecture, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers. The event ended with the presentation of flowers and plaques and a group photo.
