Breast Cancer Awareness Week Awareness Booth Organized

Mahmutbey Campus

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Week, the Nursing Student Club set up an information booth at our university's Mahmutbey campus. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis of breast cancer, regular screening methods, and self-breast examination.

Informative brochures were distributed to students and campus staff at the booth, and questions were answered to support their access to accurate and reliable health information. Throughout the event, nursing students took an active role in protecting and promoting health, which is an important part of their professional role, and had the opportunity to experience firsthand their responsibility to contribute to public health.

It is believed that such awareness-raising activities contribute not only to raising health awareness among individuals but also to strengthening the professional identity of nursing students and developing their sense of responsibility towards society. Conducted under the principle that “early diagnosis saves lives” in the fight against breast cancer, this initiative has been an important step towards raising awareness in the community.
