TURK201– Turkish for Foreigners
It is designed that continuation of the TURK 102 lessons and it is equal to level of A2.1. During the term students will learn some of the tenses, shopping and order grammars, some of the idioms and sentence structers related Turkish culture.
TURK202 – Turkish for Foreigners
It is designed that continuation of the TURK 201 lessons and it is equal to level of A2.2. During the term students will learn some of the tenses, guess and certainity grammars and some of the complex sentences. The students who pass the end-of-term exam will have A2 level of Turkish.
TURK101 – Turkish for Foreigners I
This is an obligatory course formed for the students learning Turkish as a foreign language. The main aim of the course is to get the students to academically develop four basic language skills specified in CEFR, as well as getting them to keep these acquired skills in their field studies. In this course, the students will conduct studies in which they can understand the basic words and the most known sayings related to themselves, their family, and their concrete and close surroundings when uttered slowly and clearly. Such studies based on the students’ comprehension of known nouns, words, and basic sentences appeared in written announcements, posters, and catalogues will be conducted.
TURK102 – Turkish for Foreigners II
Activities based on the skill of forming basic sayings and sentences in joining a speech or expressing the students’ themselves verbally will be conducted in this course. Besides, writing activities developing such skills as forming basic and concise writing pieces like writing a holiday card, giving detailed personal information in case of an inquiry, for instance writing the own name, nation, address on a hotel registration form, will be made.
TURK 103 – Turkish
The aim of this course is to make students aware of the features and structure of Turkish language. For this purpose, students are informed about the language and the historical development of the Turkish language. To teach the functions of language and to explain the relations between language-history and language-culture. Students will be able to comprehend the current problems of Turkish and produce solutions for them. At the end of the course, students can write petitions, CVs and academic papers.
TURK 104 -Turkish
The aim of this course is to provide the students with the ability to read and write to them through critical expression and thinking. For this purpose, students will be have an idea about essays, novels, poems, stories, etc. To be able to identify and interpret the interaction between text and film, music and painting. In this way, it can examine the text in terms of language and narrative features and determine the relationship between the reader and the text. Expressions and comments can be expressed with presentation.
